Required data files and checksums
This page list the game data included in a fully patched versions of Arx Fatalis. If you don't have the data yet, see Getting the game data and Installing the game data under Linux.
You can verify your files by saving the list of checksums for your language version as md5sum.txt and then executing the following command.
md5sum --check md5sum.txt
Full Game
Note: For some versions of the game loc.pak might be named loc_default.pak, sfx.pak might be named sfx_default.pak and misc/arx.ttf might be named misc/arx_default.ttf, but the checksums should still match.
Common Files
Except for the file name differences discussed above, all fully patched versions of Arx Fatalis (including localized versions) should have at least the following files (all except sfx.pak can be found in the 1.21 patch):

There exist two different variants of the main data file 'data.pak'. The original version used in the English CD and in all Steam and GOG.com versions is

The alternate version (presumably with censored gore) is found on at least the German and Italian CDs:

Additional files for each localized version are listed below. As far as we can tell the different data.pak files for the German and Italian versions are not due to translated content but have less gore in the level files.
The 1.21 patch also contains two .pdf files that aren't used by the game but might be of interest to users:
