The specialfx fiery script command is used to ignite the caller for an entity. The entity will be visually on fire and emit light and fire sounds and can set other nearby objects on fire. Unlike entities that have naturally been ignited, those lit by the this command will spawn fire from all around the object and not just at the "fire" action point vertex and will also not take damage themselves from the fire (except when they do, see the note). This fire effect can be turned of using specialfx fieryoff.

Context: Any Entity

If the entity has a fire" action point vertex and is in an inventory or equipped (unless it is a weapon) then it will loose 0.1 durability per second as if it was a naturally lit torch - but it will not lose durability when in the scene while it has the fiery flag.
