Am Shaegar, or the Guardian is the main protagonist and player character of Arx Fatalis. You are given the name "Am Shaegar" by Kultar, meaning "he who has no name" in a foreign tongue. After being given his mission by the Noden, the Guardian was sent down to Arx with a wiped memory.
